
The CCFMTC programs are designed to build knowledge, skills and abilities for
professionals from all related disciplines. Our goal is to develop expertise at the local
level, to help communities establish specialized examination teams, and to educate allied
professionals about these subject areas to effectively and wisely use these resources.
Primary Target Training Audience: Healthcare Providers
- New examiners on SAFE and SANE Teams
- Experienced examiners
- Medical Directors and Medical Coordinators for SAFE and SANE Teams
- Healthcare providers in high risk settings such as Emergency Departments and Clinics
- Community Physicians, mid-level practitioners (nurse practitioners and physician
assistants) and nurses
- Medical, mid-level practitioners, and nursing students in training
Secondary Target Training Audience: Allied Professionals
- Law enforcement officers;
- Attorneys from the criminal and juvenile justice and dependency law systems;
- Victim Advocates
- Investigative social workers from Children's Protective Services (CPS) and Adult
Protective Services (APS)
- Coroners/Medical examiners
- Judges
- Elected and appointed officials and policymakers
